3D Scanning

3D Scanning

3D scanners pick up the curves and edges of objects and recreate them in a virtual space on the computer.

Scanning is most commonly used for recreating (reverse engineering) existing objects. Parts that are functional and non-organic can also be recreated using CAD programs.

Small Parts Scanning

For smaller objects, such as small broken parts, car badges or small brackets & fixtures, we use a scanner and turntable (rotating base plate), which imports the information into our CAD software, and an experienced technician to carefully recreate them.

Large Object Scanning

For larger objects, such as sculptures and furniture items we use a hand held scanner, this imports the information into our CAD software, and an experienced technician to carefully recreate them.
